**Department Overview**
North American Credit Cards and Merchant Services (NACC&MS) organization was formed in Fall 2011 and brings together the credit cards and merchant services businesses in Canada and the US. TD's credit card products are distributed through the retail distribution network in the U.S. and Canada; on a national basis in Canada leveraging direct response channels; and, through hundreds of partnership programs with financial institutions, retailers, non-profit organization, sports teams, and other third party organizations. In addition, TD offers private label financing in the U.S. and Canada. With the acquisition of the MBNA portfolio in 2011, TD's credit card business is now ranked among the largest in Canada and among the top 10 in North America based on loans outstanding. TD's Merchant Services business provides merchants in Canada and the U.S. with a full range of payment processing services and solutions. TD provides merchant acquiring solutions to some of the largest retailers in Canada.

Job Description**

The Business Process Analyst I is accountable to provide procedural improvement capabilities and support that deliver optimal value, efficiencies, realized capacity and continuous improvement for business policies and procedures. Accountable for representing the business on projects of various sizes as a project team member and/or as a subject matter expert.

**Job Requirements**

o Professional level Analyst requiring business knowledge and the ability to consult on a range of projects varying in size, complexity and scope.

o Accountable to support day-to-day activities and business initiatives and participates on project teams.

o Understands and contributes to the achievement of business strategy, goals and objectives.

o Identifies and recommends process improvements and/or automation opportunities to enhance the productivity and operational efficiency of the business.

o Gathers, prioritizes and explains user requirements to support project activities, process improvements, systems development, etc.

o Analyzes the feasibility and impact of new initiatives, process improvements, technical solutions, and/or products/features.

o Acts as a consultant, providing advice, business expertise, and recommendations on business and/or operational processes.

o Participates in various projects and initiatives as a subject matter expert, represents the business, meeting all deliverables/milestones for projects under management and identifies all impacted business partners.

o Uses available resources and metrics to monitor customer / client feedback and satisfaction with business processes.

o Communicates all required information and process changes.

o Keeps business leaders and other team members informed and up-to-date about the status/progress of projects, and all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities.

o Maintains relationships with TDBG business partners to ensure the procedures developed reflect the goals and objectives of all stakeholders in question.

o Contributes to the success of the team and its vision by encouraging open communication, innovation, teamwork and a high degree of professionalism.

+ Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.


o Bachelor's degree

o 4 years of relevant business experience and /or

o Previous experience / knowledge of Business Process Management methodology

o Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt certification is an asset

o Excellent PC skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint

o Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

o Strong analytical and problem solving skills

o Proactive with a high degree of initiative and the ability to learn and adapt quickly

o Ability to multitask and to work under high-volume and tight time restraints

o Demonstrated maturity and professionalism with proven ability to liaise with senior manager and executive audiences

o Superior relationship management skills, solid leadership ability, excellent organizational skills and strong business acumen

o Ability to operate well in a high volume, demanding environment; adapt quickly and adjust priorities as required while managing tight timelines

o Displays flexibility to adapt to, and work effectively within, a variety of situations, and with various individuals or groups

o A high degree of commitment to quality work

o Demonstrated commitment to continued learning

o Highly motivated individual with strong decision making skills
